Huawei F5G-A solutions launched at the Global Optical Summit 2025 in Tashkent, showcasing Huawei’s next-generation optical infrastructure designed for artificial intelligence. This innovation supports smarter industries across the Middle East and Central Asia. The event brought together over 250 leaders, partners, and technology experts from the region.
The Fifth Generation Fixed Network Advanced (F5G-A) series is built to serve high-performance use cases. These include smart campuses, AI-enhanced data centers, industrial automation, and intelligent perimeter security systems. As demand for low-latency, high-speed infrastructure grows, Huawei’s solution addresses the need for scalable, future-ready networks.
During his keynote speech titled “No Fiber, No AI”, Perry Yang, President of Huawei Enterprise Optical Domain, emphasized the strategic value of fiber. He stated that fiber not only connects systems but also empowers AI. Therefore, Huawei’s vision is to enhance, drive, and boost computing through all-optical connectivity.
Moreover, the F5G-A portfolio extends fiber’s capabilities beyond data centers. It reaches campuses, communication networks, and sensing terminals. This approach supports real-time AI workloads and minimizes energy loss—making infrastructure more efficient.
Huawei’s infrastructure also enables better integration between AI and cloud systems. Real-time decision-making becomes possible thanks to faster data flows and accurate sensing. Consequently, businesses can operate with higher efficiency and responsiveness.
Charles Shen, Vice President of Huawei Middle East and Central Asia ICT Marketing & Solution Sales, shared Huawei’s long-standing partnership with the region. “For over a decade, we’ve built optical networks with our partners,” he said. “Now, we are combining fiber and AI to reshape the digital future.”
Additionally, Kholoud Aldorgham, Director General of Fiber Connect Council MENA, highlighted the shift in fiber’s role. It has moved from supporting home internet to becoming the backbone of digital transformation in enterprises and industries.
Several use cases were featured at the summit. For instance, UAE-based Azizi Developments presented how all-optical infrastructure enhanced their hotel and property operations. As a result, they achieved better connectivity, automation, and energy efficiency.
To recognize progress, Huawei celebrated OptiX Club members and partners who advanced optical innovation and AI implementation. Their contributions have been critical to regional transformation efforts.
In conclusion, Huawei F5G-A solutions are more than just technology. They are a strategic foundation for AI-driven economies. As industries evolve, Huawei’s fiber-based infrastructure ensures reliable, intelligent, and sustainable growth across the Middle East and Central Asia.
