Huawei has officially launched the Huawei Watch Fit 5 series globally during its “Now Is Your Spark” event in Bangkok, introducing updated smartwatch models focused on fitness tracking, design refinements and health monitoring.
The Watch Fit 5 series includes two variants — the standard Watch Fit 5 and the Watch Fit 5 Pro — both featuring slimmer bodies, brighter AMOLED displays and expanded sports features.
Watch Fit 5 Series Introduces New Design
Huawei said the Watch Fit 5 series maintains the overall design language of earlier models while adding refinements such as slimmer frames and new colour options.
The standard Watch Fit 5 launches in Silver, Purple, Green, White and Black. Meanwhile, the Watch Fit 5 Pro adds a new Orange option alongside White and Black variants.
The company said the watches use a special oil-filling coating process designed to preserve colour vibrancy over time.
Watch Fit 5 Series Features Brighter Displays
The Watch Fit 5 Pro includes a 1.92-inch AMOLED display with a 480 x 408 resolution, 328 pixels per inch and up to 3,000 nits of brightness. The device also uses curved sapphire glass protection.
The standard Watch Fit 5 features a slightly smaller 1.82-inch AMOLED display with the same resolution, 347 pixels per inch and peak brightness reaching 2,500 nits.
Huawei said the upgrades improve visibility in outdoor conditions and enhance overall screen clarity.
Fitness and Sports Tracking Expanded
Huawei introduced a new Mini-workout mode within the Watch Fit 5 series. The feature tracks movement across up to 10 key body points during exercise sessions.
The watches also support specialised running and cycling modes capable of analysing endurance, calorie burn and workout performance.
Additional sports-related features include automatic fall detection, social media integration and support for more than 100 exercise modes.
Golf and Diving Features Added
The Watch Fit 5 series includes support for more than 17,000 golf courses globally. Features include custom flag placement, auto-rotating green views and real-time score tracking.
Huawei also confirmed that the global models support diving depths of up to 40 metres.
Health Monitoring Upgrades
Huawei upgraded several health-tracking systems within the Watch Fit 5 series, including TruSense, TruSleep and Emotional Wellbeing 2.0.
The company said the improvements are designed to deliver more accurate monitoring of sleep, emotional wellbeing and other health metrics.
Battery Performance and Comfort
According to Huawei, the Watch Fit 5 series can operate for up to 10 days under light usage conditions, seven days during typical use and around four days with always-on display enabled.
Huawei also introduced AirDry strap technology on the orange Watch Fit 5 Pro variant, designed to improve breathability and sweat management during workouts.
Outlook for Watch Fit 5 Series
The launch strengthens Huawei’s position in the global wearable market as competition intensifies among smartwatch manufacturers focusing on health and fitness features.
Analysts expect Huawei to continue expanding its wearable ecosystem through software services and sports-focused hardware innovation.
