Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 to Launch Alongside Watch GT 6 Series on September 19
Huawei is all set to introduce its new premium smartwatch, the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2, on September 19, alongside the Watch GT 6 series. This launch will replace the March 2023 version, offering upgraded design, larger battery, and improved durability.
Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 Design (Expected)
The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is expected to feature significant design upgrades, including:
- Rotating crown and an additional circular button on the right side of the dial.
- Glass casing at the back panel to house various health and fitness sensors.
- 48.5mm dial size, making it a great fit for users who prefer larger wristwear.
Display and Performance
Huawei’s Ultimate 2 smartwatch will feature an AMOLED display with adaptive refresh rates aimed at maximizing battery life. Although exact details regarding the resolution and brightness are yet to be revealed, it is expected to follow the successful 1.5-inch display size of its predecessor.
Battery and Efficiency Upgrades
One of the most anticipated upgrades is the new battery technology. Reports suggest that Huawei will equip the Watch GT 6 and Ultimate 2 with high-silicon stacked batteries, which are expected to offer up to 37% more battery capacity compared to existing models.
- The Watch GT 6 is said to provide up to 21 days of battery life in power-saving mode, so the Ultimate 2 could provide even better endurance, thanks to its larger form factor.
- The smartwatch will also support fast charging, providing users with multi-day battery life.
Features and Health Tracking
While detailed features are still under wraps, the Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is likely to include:
- Heart rate monitoring
- SpO₂ tracking
- Sleep and stress tracking
- Outdoor sports modes with GPS
- 100-meter water resistance for diving-grade durability
Additionally, Huawei’s HarmonyOS will enhance sensor accuracy and software features for better health tracking.
Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 Price (Expected)
The Huawei Watch Ultimate 2 is expected to be priced higher than its predecessor, which was released in March 2023 at CNY 5,999 (approximately ₹74,300). The premium build materials and advanced features may push its global price above ₹75,000.
Launch Timeline
Huawei will officially launch both the Watch Ultimate 2 and Watch GT 6 series on September 19, 2025. While the GT 6 will focus on endurance and battery life, the Ultimate 2 will cater to premium users seeking a durable and feature-rich smartwatch.
