Aito M6 SUV Unveiled: Huawei’s Mid-Range Electric Family SUV

Huawei-backed Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance has officially unveiled the Aito M6 SUV, confirming its role in the brand’s expanding lineup. Importantly, the model will launch in China in the second quarter of 2026, targeting the 250,000 yuan (about $36,000) segment.

Strategically, the Aito M6 SUV slots between the Aito M5 (starting at 229,800 yuan) and the Aito M7 (from 279,800 yuan). As a result, it fills a key gap in the mid-size family SUV category. Moreover, it joins the M5, M7, M8, and M9 to strengthen Aito’s presence in China’s new-energy vehicle market.

Design-wise, the M6 follows Aito’s clean, modern language. For instance, it features a closed front grille and slim, elongated headlamps. Vertical air channels frame the lighting units, while a three-section lower air intake adds structure. Together, these details give the M6 a unique identity within the family.

From the side, the SUV uses semi-hidden door handles and gloss-black dual five-spoke alloy wheels. Red brake calipers add a subtle sporty flair. Meanwhile, the body emphasizes smooth, flowing surfaces—consistent with Aito’s mid-size SUV proportions.

At the rear, a full-width taillight bar creates a cohesive light signature. A roof-mounted spoiler enhances aerodynamics. Additionally, black cladding on the lower bumper visually separates the body from the undercarriage, adding a touch of ruggedness.

Under the hood, the Aito M6 SUV will offer two powertrain options: a range-extended electric version and a pure battery-electric variant. This flexibility lets buyers choose based on their charging access and driving habits.

Inside the cabin, it will run Huawei’s latest HarmonyOS Cockpit 5. Thanks to this, users can expect faster responses, smarter app integration, and a more intuitive interface. Furthermore, it will feature the Qiankun intelligent driving system with ADS 4—Huawei’s most advanced driver-assistance suite to date.

By combining smart tech, practical sizing, and dual electrification paths, the Aito M6 aims to win over value-focused EV buyers. Given the rising demand for connected, intelligent SUVs in China, its timing couldn’t be better.

In short, the Aito M6 SUV isn’t just another addition—it’s a well-placed move by Huawei to capture the mainstream smart EV market. And with its Q2 2026 debut, it arrives right when competition—and consumer interest—is heating up.
