Huawei and BAIC’s Stelato S9T Gets 20,000 Orders in 24 Hours

The Stelato S9T, created by Huawei and BAIC, has made a splash in the Chinese market. After opening presales, the S9T racked up 20,000 orders within 24 hours. This strong demand signals the growing interest in electric vehicles (EVs) in China.

Stelato’s Success in Presales

In a remarkable feat, the Stelato S9T received 10,000 orders in just one hour of presales. By the end of 24 hours, that number jumped to 20,000. This shows how much Chinese consumers are eager to purchase the S9T. Last year, Stelato launched its first model, the S9 EV, which sold 15,000 units between October and July.

Now, with the S9T gaining significant attention, the brand is poised for even greater success. The surge in orders reflects consumer confidence in Huawei’s ability to deliver high-quality electric vehicles.

Impressive Performance and Range

The Stelato S9T offers two major powertrain variants. The entry-level model comes with a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) electric motor, producing 304 horsepower. Alternatively, the more powerful all-wheel-drive (AWD) version generates 516 horsepower. Both options cater to different driving preferences, offering versatility for potential buyers.

One of the key features is its impressive range. The RWD model can travel up to 500 miles (801 km) on a single charge, addressing common concerns about range anxiety. This makes the S9T a strong contender in the growing EV market.

Luxurious Features and High-Tech Interior

The interior of the S9T stands out for its modern, tech-forward design. The vehicle includes three screens: a 16.1-inch main display, a 12.3-inch screen for the front passenger, and a smaller display for auxiliary functions. These screens provide a futuristic and user-friendly interface for all occupants.

Moreover, the S9T features a 25-speaker Huawei sound system, offering superior audio quality. For added luxury, the vehicle also includes a mini-refrigerator built into the cabin, enhancing comfort during longer trips.

Presales and Official Launch

Customers can place a deposit of $280 to secure their S9T. The official sales launch is set for September, where we will get a clearer picture of the S9T‘s true market demand. The model will be available in four trims, with prices ranging from $46,570 to $54,020.

Conclusion

The Stelato S9T has already captured the attention of the Chinese market, with 20,000 orders in just one day. With its impressive performance, sleek design, and luxurious features, the S9T is well on its way to becoming a leading option in the electric vehicle segment. As presales continue, the S9T could mark a new chapter for Huawei and BAIC in the automotive industry.
