The Huawei Children’s Watch 4X is a kid-friendly smartwatch packed with LTE connectivity, GPS, a durable design, and safety features. Learn more about its specs and features.

Introduction

The Huawei Children’s Watch 4X, also known as the Huawei Kids Watch 4X, is a feature-packed smartwatch designed to keep kids connected and parents at ease. Released in August 2020, this smartwatch comes with LTE connectivity, GPS tracking, dual cameras, and water resistance. Its durable build and child-friendly design make it an excellent choice for parents looking to provide their children with a safe and practical wearable.

Design and Build

Weighing 67.7g and with dimensions of 53 x 45.7 x 14.7 mm, the Huawei Children’s Watch 4X is compact yet rugged. The watch is 5ATM water-resistant, allowing it to withstand depths of up to 50 meters. This makes it ideal for active kids who love swimming or playing outdoors. Available in Blue, Pink, and White, the watch offers appealing color options to suit any child’s preference.

Display

The smartwatch features a 1.41-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 320 x 360 pixels. With a pixel density of 342 ppi, the screen is sharp and bright, making it easy for children to read notifications and interact with the device.

Performance

Running on a Proprietary OS, the Huawei Children’s Watch 4X is powered by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. This provides enough capacity for apps, games, and the smooth performance of essential features such as calling, messaging, and GPS tracking. The watch also comes equipped with eMMC 4.5 storage, ensuring that it can handle daily tasks without lag.

Dual Cameras

The watch is equipped with two cameras: an 8 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera. The rear camera, featuring autofocus and a f/2.0 aperture, is great for snapping quick photos or video chatting with parents. The front camera is useful for video calls, allowing kids to stay connected with family members in a fun and interactive way.

Connectivity and GPS

One of the standout features of the Huawei Children’s Watch 4X is its connectivity options. The watch supports GSM, HSPA, and LTE, ensuring that kids can make calls, send messages, and stay connected wherever they are.

For safety, the watch is equipped with GPS along with GLONASS, BDS, GALILEO, and QZSS positioning systems. This allows parents to track their child’s location in real-time, giving peace of mind. The inclusion of NFC enables features like contactless payments or identification.

Battery Life

The watch is powered by an 800 mAh Li-Ion battery, which offers decent battery life for a kid’s smartwatch. It supports 10W wired charging, and Huawei advertises that it can charge up to 50% in just 20 minutes with wireless charging. This fast charging ensures minimal downtime between uses.
