Huawei 5G Core Named Global Leader Again

Huawei 5G Core leader recognition continues for the seventh straight year. GlobalData, a leading consulting firm, has ranked Huawei as the top vendor in 5G mobile core networks. For the second consecutive year, Huawei also achieved the highest scores across all eight categories of evaluation.

Consistent Leadership in 5G Core

The GlobalData 5G Mobile Core Competitive Landscape Assessment shows Huawei’s strong role in the digital economy. As 5G expands worldwide, operators are racing to deploy standalone (SA) networks. These networks enable features like network slicing, private industry networks, and autonomous operations. Huawei’s sustained investment and innovation keep it ahead of its peers.

Huawei Excels in All Dimensions

GlobalData examined solutions across eight areas: architecture, cloudification, performance, multimedia, network automation, evolution, solution maturity, and standards leadership. Huawei led in every one.

  • Cloud-native design: Built on microservices and elastic architecture, Huawei’s 5G Core ensures stability under heavy loads and allows rapid software updates.
  • User experience monetization: Through its Intelligent Personalized Experience (IPE), Huawei guarantees service quality in real time, linking user experience directly to operator revenue.
  • Service innovation: The Single Voice Core (SVC) unites traditional voice with modern AI New Calling and HD video services, creating a seamless communication platform.

AI and Telco Cloud Innovation

Huawei also introduced AI into the Telco Intelligent Converged Cloud (TICC). This provides dynamic energy savings and opens the door for new AI-driven services. At MWC 2025, the company launched the industry’s first AI-native core network. This step moves beyond AI-enabled systems and establishes AI as the foundation of telecom infrastructure.

Driving Digital Transformation

The Huawei 5G Core leader status demonstrates the company’s impact on enterprise solutions as well. Its intelligent, flexible, and reliable architecture supports digital transformation across industries. By focusing on cloud-native stability and advanced automation, Huawei empowers operators to scale services and improve customer experiences.

Moreover, GlobalData praised Huawei for its consistent focus on innovation. The report highlighted how Huawei’s solutions address both consumer communication and enterprise digitalization. This dual focus strengthens the case for its global leadership.

Looking Ahead

Huawei plans to expand its AI-native core network globally. With continued innovation, the company aims to deliver more intelligent, efficient, and personalized communication experiences. By combining stability, automation, and service innovation, Huawei remains positioned as the Huawei 5G Core leader guiding the telecom industry toward an intelligent future.
