The Huawei Aito M7 Facelift has officially opened pre-sales on September 5, 2025, marking a major update for Huawei’s flagship SUV. Jointly developed with Seres Group, this refreshed model was first revealed at the Chengdu Auto Show 2025 before its official market debut on September 23.
According to Huawei’s official Aito Weibo account, the new version boasts significant upgrades in design, dimensions, technology, and performance, positioning it as a strong contender in the premium electric SUV market.
Bigger Dimensions and Flexible Configurations
One of the standout changes in the Huawei Aito M7 Facelift is its larger size. The SUV now measures 5,080 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,780 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,030 mm. This increase in size gives the vehicle a more commanding road presence compared to the older model, which measured 5,020 mm in length and had a shorter 2,820 mm wheelbase.
The facelift offers flexibility with five-seat and six-seat layouts, making it ideal for both family use and urban commuting.
EV and EREV Powertrain Options
Buyers of the Huawei Aito M7 Facelift can choose between two main powertrain options:
- EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle): Available with 37 kWh or 53 kWh batteries, delivering a combined driving range of more than 1,600 km with both fuel and charge.
- BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle): Powered by a 100 kWh CATL battery pack, offering over 700 km range on a single charge.
These configurations make the Aito M7 one of the most versatile SUVs in the Chinese EV market, balancing long-distance travel and urban practicality.
Advanced Huawei Tech Features
Huawei continues to showcase its cutting-edge innovations in the Aito M7 Facelift. One of the most talked-about additions is laser vision technology in the Limera cabin, integrating LiDAR and cameras seamlessly into rearview mirrors and windshields. Unlike many competitors, Huawei avoids bulky rooftop sensors, resulting in a sleek and futuristic design.
This integration enhances safety, driver assistance, and smart driving features while maintaining a premium aesthetic.
Position in Huawei’s Automotive Journey
Since its debut on July 4, 2022, the Aito M7 has undergone continuous upgrades, including a refresh in September 2023, the M7 Ultra in May 2024, and the Pro SUV series in August 2024. Now with the Huawei Aito M7 Facelift, the brand cements its presence as a pioneer in the intelligent electric SUV segment.
The SUV is not just a vehicle but also a showcase of Huawei’s broader ambition in the automotive industry—leveraging AI, advanced sensors, and smart cabin systems to compete with global EV leaders.
