The Huawei May 2025 update is now rolling out for the Mate X3 and Watch 4 Pro. This latest release brings fresh security improvements to Huawei’s foldable flagship and its premium smartwatch.
The Mate X3 receives EMUI version 14.2.0.172. The update package weighs in at 350MB and includes the May 2025 security patch. According to Huawei, this patch resolves 11 CVEs and 25 third-party library issues. As a result, users should notice better system stability and fewer bugs.
In contrast, the Watch 4 Pro is getting HarmonyOS version 4.3.0.590. While this version still contains the April 2025 security patch, it boosts protection for HarmonyOS-based wearables. Huawei says the update strengthens system defenses and fixes recent vulnerabilities.
Both updates are gradually rolling out worldwide. However, it may take some time to reach all eligible units. Mate X3 users can check for updates in Settings > System & updates, while Watch 4 Pro owners should use the Huawei Health app.
Alongside these updates, Huawei also introduced two new wearables: the Watch 5 and Watch Fit 4 series. The Watch 5 features Huawei’s new X-Tap technology. This allows users to perform health checks, access reports, and manage wellness tools with a few taps.
Meanwhile, the Watch Fit 4 focuses on smart features and sports tracking. It offers Pro-grade health insights and improved athletic performance monitoring. These wearables add to Huawei’s growing ecosystem of intelligent health devices.
In summary, the Huawei May 2025 update delivers vital firmware upgrades for two major devices. At the same time, Huawei continues expanding its wearable lineup, combining innovation, security, and user convenience.
