A leaked image has given fans their first look at the Huawei Pura X2. It shows a noticeably wider design than the original Pura X. Leaker UniverseIce shared the photo online.
Most strikingly, the Pura X2 splits its back into two halves. Unlike the Pura X—which put the cover screen and camera bump on the same side—the new model places a larger external display on the top half. Meanwhile, the pill-shaped camera module moves to the bottom.
This layout could boost usability. With a bigger cover screen, users might do more without opening the phone. Think replying to messages or checking apps. That convenience is key in today’s foldables.
The camera bump has four lens openings and an LED flash—just like the Pura X. Although unconfirmed, the setup may include:
- An ultra-vision main sensor
- An RYYB ultra-wide lens
- A telephoto shooter
- A 2nd-gen multispectral camera
However, this is only a rumored image. Huawei hasn’t verified the design. Still, the shift fits current trends toward larger cover displays.
Adding to the mystery, reports say Huawei may delay the Pura X2 launch by a full quarter. The original Pura X arrived in March 2025. Now, the sequel might debut only after the Pura 90 series launch—possibly in mid-2026.
Huawei has not commented on the leak or delay. But as more details emerge, the Pura X2 looks like a functional and visual upgrade.
For now, the Huawei Pura X2 first look is just a preview. Fans should wait for official news before drawing conclusions.
